Presentation of the Franklin Award to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords

The Franklin Award is given annually to an outstanding individual in federal service who is working to strengthen citizenship in America. The 2011 recipient of the Franklin Award is U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords.

The Award was presented at the 66th Annual National Conference on Citizenship and was accepted on the Congresswoman's behalf by close friend and former Arizona State Senator Elaine Richardson.
