New Features for NCoC.net

March 15, 2010
NCoC is excited to announce a set of new features to enhance your ability to find and share civic information from our website.

These features include:
• Upgraded share functions with ability to email, print, Tweet, Digg, and Facebook information to your friends and colleagues
• Ability to give feedback by “liking” or “disliking” content
• Specialized categories for streamlined ability to find information by issue area
• A word cloud highlighting recently popular tags by content issue and topic

As always, you have the ability to comment on discussions, download documents, and view individual sections of our Civic Health Index reports.

For those with an NCoC.net account, we can catalog your preferences and will soon be able to recommend information you may find valuable based on your interests. Just make sure you’re logged in when you’re viewing the site so we can keep track of your activity. If you registered online for our 2009 Conference, you should already have an account, and you can log in by clicking “Sign In to NCoC.net” at the top of the page.

If you don’t have an NCoC.net account, create one for free by clicking “Become a Member” at the top of the page. Creating an account will allow you to tell us what kind of information you’d like to receive, and easily register online for our 2010 Annual Conference and other events.

NCoC.net was redesigned in November 2008, and in the last 16 months, we’ve seen more than a 400% increase in our traffic. As we continue to expand our programs and increase our report production, we are committed to upgrading our website features to ensure the information is presented to you in a helpful format. Leave us a comment to let us know what you think, and help us do so by taking a brief, five question survey here: http://ncoc.net/survey
